Destination Engagement Session: Aman and Simar in India !

Distant clear blue skies, green fields nearby , sun kissed spring… amidst all this a beautiful girl and a handsome man. No, I am not talking about Yash Raj movie but a recent engagement session I did for a very lovely couple,  Aman and Simar.

It may not be a Bollywood movie, but it felt very special and big from start to finish. Traveling thousands of miles to my home country to photograph this wedding was simply an emotional experience. I felt a deep connection. I have heard many folk tales and love stories that originate from India, photographing Aman and Simar felt like a modern day Heer Ranjha come alive sans the opposing  families! Thanks to the enthusiastic couple who truly set the tone of this photo session. From the traditional gear to the very real pind (village) setting, this was one photo session where I felt the pages of history came alive and I was photographing with my camera instead of someone writing about it for posterity!
